Tom Gellrich
Has been one of the pioneers in understanding and identifying the changes that shale gas as risks and opportunities for the US manufacturing industry. His presentations and white papers have been extensively quoted.
As an Executive with experience in operational business management, strategic development, hands on sales and marketing Tom provides a unique perspective combining all elements. He has been involved in several start-up opportunities – innovation - balanced with Fortune 50 experience – rigorous application. At Elemica, a B2B service company that Tom was instrumental in founding, he managed all aspects of European operations but focused on customer acquisition. Prior to Elemica, at Arkema/Atofina, Tom held a variety of positions in Strategic Planning, Business Management, and Business Consulting. His entry to the business world was with Exxon Mobile, moving from engineering to project management and business roles.
Background
Tom holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, and is bilingual with extensive experience in Europe. His interests expand into guest lecturer for the St. Josephs University Executive MBA program, and as a Board member for the 3E Institute (Educational Excellence and Entrepreneurship). Tom is a sought after speaker in industry conferences bringing innovative ideas to established industries.
David Seifert
An international business executive with 25 years of industrial experience - the past 20 with Arkema (the $20 Billion chemical subsidiary of the French oil company, TotalFinaElf). He has extensive General Management experience including 10+ years of P&L responsibility managing global businesses - both specialty and commodity in nature, varying in size from $20M to $300M.
In addition, David has broad cross-functional know-how having held positions as: V.P. Supply Chain (responsible for Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Service, eBusiness); Chief Information Officer (CIO); V.P. Strategic Planning and Finance Director. David also served as Chairman of the Board for Arkema Canada - a $150M subsidiary, and on the Board of Elemica Inc - the B2B hub serving the chemical industry. He has a proven track record identifying and focusing on critical issues / opportunities, managing for profitable top-line growth, and driving organization-wide change.
Background:
David received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech and his MBA, with strategic planning and finance concentration, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is an adjunct professor at the Drexell University MBA program.
Joe Barone
Joseph Barone is a seasoned marketing/advertising executive who has worked with a number of “Blue Chip” clients. He has also been at the forefront of internet marketing. His company started building web sites in 1995.
Barone became intrigued with the Marcellus and Utica Shale in 2009 and attend Penn State’s “Your Business and Marcellus Shale” webinar series. In February 2010, Barone launched ShaleDirectories.com which has become the “yellow pages for the oil and gas industry” connecting local businesses with the oil and gas operators, their employees and their families.
Barone attended over 40 oil and gas expos in the last almost 5 years and spoke before the Pennsylvania’s Marcellus Shale Commission. He guest hosted, “The Marcellus Shale and You” radio show on KDKA news radio, and is currently a regular on the radio show, “All Energy Now.”
Barone’s company Shale Directories has partnered with various organizations throughout the Marcellus and Utica region to present business development seminars for local businesses. At the these seminars, Barone would bring speakers E&P companies like Chesapeake, Chevron, Cabot, Anadarko, and Seneca as well as midstream companies like Access Midstream, Blue Racer, M3Momentum, and EnLink. Businesses found these seminars to be extremely informative. These events were ideal networking opportunities for the businesses.
Background
As an adjuct professor in Drexel University's MBA Program, he was on the first professors in the country to create online courses - eCommerce Strategy and Marekging and Strategy Customer Relationship Marketing. He also taught his online course eCommerce Strategy and Marketing in St. Josephy University's MBA Program. Prior to teaching at Drexel University and St. Joseph University, Barone was an adjunct professor at New York University.
